Fourth Grade Program

The Amelia Island Museum of History offers 4th grade field trips free of charge for all Nassau County public school fourth grade classes, including both Museum entrance fees and transportation costs. The museum also provides teachers with a curriculum packet and supplemental materials for pre and post-visit planning. Many of these activities can help prepare students for the FCAT. The classroom activities and instructor materials correlated with Sunshine State Standards.

The history of Amelia Island and Nassau County is indeed rich and unique and one that offers endless opportunities for interest and further exploration. The suggested activities are essential to the students’ full understanding of Amelia Island’s history and will result in a more enjoyable visit for your students, as well as a more academically comprehensive one.
